Breast Enlargement

Breast enlargement cosmetic surgery is one of the most common procedures performed annually around the world. Women have many different reasons for choosing to undergo breast enlargement surgery. Perhaps they feel that their breasts have not fully developed, or they are unhappy with the shape of their breasts. Some women will have asymmetrical breasts may and wish to balance the difference in size. Following pregnancy, many women opt for breast implant surgery to correct reductions in breast size resulting from fluctuating hormones.

At Secret Surgery Ltd, we understand that most women choosing to have breast enlargement surgery want to improve their self-esteem and self-image, and a breast enlargement procedure can help to improve their appearance and increase their self-confidence.

A breast enlargement operation involves surgically inserting breast implants behind the natural breast tissues to increase the size of the breasts.

Breast Enlargement via Fat Transfer

Fat transfer to the Breasts is a minimally-invasive treatment offering subtle enhancement to the breasts. It is a popular choice for women who are looking to add shape and volume to their chest, whilst removing stubborn pockets of fat elsewhere on the body.

Breast size and fullness can have a huge effect on body confidence. Factors such as weight loss, pregnancy/breast feeding, or ageing can cause breasts to look emptier or lose their shape, while many others are born with naturally smaller breasts which can leave some feeling insecure.

While breast implants and breast uplifts are popular ways to address the issue not everybody wants serious surgery requiring general anaesthetic, nor are synthetic implants the best way forward for everyone. Stubborn areas of fat around the body can be difficult to rid of through exercise and diet alone and, for some, a form of body contouring treatment can be the only way to achieve an end goal.

Breast Enlargement with Fat Transfer involves removing pockets of fat from other areas of your body (such as the legs or abdomen) and transferring the fat into the breast area to increase volume and shape in a subtle, natural-looking way.

Am I Suitable for Breast Fat Transfer?

Fat Transfer is suitable for those wanting to shape their figure while achieving subtle enhancement to the breasts.

Fat Transfer is not recommended if you:

Want a significant increase in breast size.
Don’t have enough fat to transfer.
Require an uplift.
Are considering having children within the next year.
Are solely after breast augmentation, without liposuction.
You will need to have enough fat to transfer for treatment, meaning it is not always suitable for those with low body mass, and we advise all patients to be cautious with their expectations. Breast Fat Transfer will add shape and definition but will not provide a substantial increase in size (for which we recommend implants).

Before going ahead with fat transfer you will always require a full consultation with one of our doctors who will advise on your suitability.

The Fat Transfer Procedure

A Fat Transfer procedure begins with the use of an advanced, minimally-invasive liposuction treatment like BodyJet liposuction extract fat from a patient’s chosen area(s). This is usually performed under local anaesthetic and will require no incisions and 1 night stay in the medical facility.

The extracted fat is then refined before it is carefully injected in layers into the breasts to create volume and definition. As both parts of a fat transfer are minimally-invasive without the need for general anaesthetic, no hospital stay is usually required making recovery and downtime far less than traditional breast implant surgery.

If you are unsuitable for an Breast enhancement procedure with Fat Transfer, our surgeons also offer Breast Enhancement surgeries, such as:

Breast Enlargement with Implants (Breast Augmentation)
Breast Reduction (Mammoplasty)
Breast Uplift (Mastopexy)

The Breast Fat Transfer Results

A subtle fullness is restored to the breasts. As implants are not used the final results are soft and natural-looking. Areas of the body that the fat is harvested from are slimmed and toned, with greater definition and an improved overall shape.

Recovery

Downtime is minimal. However, because there may be some bruising and swelling, it is best to wait one to two weeks before you hit the gym or do any rigorous physical activity. You may be recommended to undertake a course of Lymphatic Massage to aide your recovery, which your team will advise on during consultation.

The decision to undergo breast enlargement should always be a personal one, taken with the help of your breast enlargement surgeon, you should not consider breast implant surgery to please someone else, after all it is your body and your health that comes first. Information and research is key to you making a well-researched and fully informed decision, that’s why we warmly welcome you to join our community of patients who can relay their own first-hand experience of this procedure to you to help you gather information.
